Welcome to Country Bunch Paws. My name is Michelle and here is a little about me. I grew up on acreage surrounded by animals; horses, cats, dogs, guinea pigs, and even crows. My knowledge of genetics and animal science started when I was in college and my lifelong love of animals led me to breeding Bernedoodles. We live in Kansas on a beautiful piece of God’s 30 acres. I have a total of 6 kids, 5 of whom are still at home, along with my handicapped brother and a loving supportive husband. We operate as a ‘family team’ raising all our puppies and working together. My family has helped me raise and socialize over 40 puppies, several which have gone on to become service/therapy dogs and mastered their CGC. My passion combined with the in-depth knowledge gleaned over the years has morphed its way into developing breeding and operational standards for my program. It has given me purpose and drive to better the breed though various ways not limited to just genetic health testing but by also doing PennHip testing, OFA certifications, strict temperament testing, confirmation, and follow the BAB curriculum. In essence, I’ve poured a great deal of time and energy into doing things right!
